Forgivness

It’s not Gods purpose to hide from us or for us to hide from Him. He wants us, He wants us to be near Him. ALL people! God wants everyone on earth! Even people we think don’t deserve Him, because guess what, we don’t deserve Him either. Every single person on this earth is eligible for Gods forgiveness no matter what.

Why do we think we deserve forgiveness and Gods grace above someone else? Why are we forgivable when someone else isn’t. We have all sinned against each other and God.

Gods grace and forgiveness is for everyone from the most righteous to the worst criminal you can possibly think of. Jesus forgave those who tortured  and crucified Him. So why can’t we forgive someone for  something they’ve done to us.

“But you don’t understand! They did… ”

The fact is Jesus does understand and nothing that we can do to each other even comes close to comparing to what was done to Him. He is our Lord and savior.  He came to save us and He was disowned, reviled, rejected, tortured and killed.  Yet He says that whoever accepts Him will be saved. WHOEVER. Not the sinless, not the people who are good, or do good. Not this religion or that one. Everyone! If we will only accept Him as our savior, we will be saved.

When we say someone is unforgivable we are saying we are unforgivable, because we are saying we know better then God, that we know more then Him and that’s just not true. Do we deserve forgiveness if we won’t give it? Why? Jesus died on the cross for our forgiveness, if we won’t forgive, we won’t get forgiven even though that’s what He wants for us.

Forgiveness is not only once, its multi layered. Every time something comes up and makes us angry we need to forgive again and again and again, we don’t stop forgiving, because Jesus doesn’t stop forgiving us.
